API development
REST and gRPC APIs with clear contracts, sound error handling and an eye on performance – from specification through to operation.
Design · Build · Operate
Solid APIs and interfaces that connect your systems reliably: REST and gRPC APIs, microservices and scalable backends for companies that rely on maintainable software. Remote, across Germany.
01 · About
I studied computer science at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg and have been building software professionally since 2019 – first as a team lead in AI-assisted image processing, later focusing on backends in fintech, retail and logistics. I have been working freelance since 2022.
My focus is where systems have to talk to each other: APIs, interfaces and backend services in Go and C#/.NET. I care about stable, maintainable software – and I enjoy getting to the bottom of stubborn bugs.
02 · Services
Four areas, one common thread: backend systems that work reliably and that are still pleasant to extend a few years from now.
REST and gRPC APIs with clear contracts, sound error handling and an eye on performance – from specification through to operation.
I connect your applications with third-party systems, partners and existing databases – robustly, traceably and well documented.
Distributed backend services in Go or C#, containerised and run on Kubernetes – with event sourcing where complete traceability matters.
Security updates, bug fixing and further development of long-lived .NET applications – including release and CI infrastructure.
03 · Strengths
From more than seven years of software engineering: the areas I know inside out – and what that means for you.
Interfaces between systems run through my whole career. I account for data contracts, failure modes and the behaviour of foreign systems from the outset – so that integrations hold up under real-world conditions.
Go microservices, Kubernetes and event sourcing: architectures in which any state can be reconstructed completely – a real advantage in regulated, compliance-critical environments.
Stubborn bugs in long-lived codebases appeal to me. I analyse thoroughly, fix durably, and take care of security updates and dependable releases.
As a former team lead and backend owner I bring more than implementation: coordination within the team, CI/CD and release infrastructure, and a feel for maintainable solutions.

05 · How I work
Transparent, pragmatic and inside your existing processes – without unnecessary overhead.
You describe the goal, the starting point and the constraints. I ask questions, and we find out whether it is a good fit – with no obligation.
You receive an honest assessment of effort, risks and approach, together with a concrete quote.
Iterative and transparent, remotely in your tools: regular check-ins, code reviews and visible progress.
Maintainable, documented code and knowledge transfer to your team – with long-term support if you want it.
06 · Contact
Briefly describe what it is about – a few sentences are enough. I will get back to you shortly with a first assessment.
